I had my property managed by the rental team of Michaels, I was shocked to find out when my tenants gave me notice they were leaving 6 months into my 12 month lease to find out that the lease had not been signed. When I questioned this, I was emailed"Tenants lease expired end of September 2017, a 12 month lease was issued however not returned after much prompting as I can see from the file."Why was I not contacted, this was an important thing to be told and would have changed what I was going to do with the property.When the tenants left I was NOT invited to the final inspection or given a date except to be told"--------- is due to hands keys in on the 14th, we will be attending either 16th or 17th. If you enter prior to us doing our vacate inspection it can waive any responsibilities to the tenants."So having this information I organised a professional cleaner to go to the property on the 18th, to my surprise the Michaels team turned up while the cleaners were there.I then got an email saying"Tenants have vacated, they have met all their responsibilities, inside was notibaly cleaner than it was when they moved in."On my inspection on the weekend after this I found broken furniture, blinds, cracked tiles in the bathroom, broken or missing towel rail (photos attached) a fire pit in my lawn, empty alcohol bottles and more.I have sent an email listing my disappointment in the team and have had no response to that email, even to acknowledge they even received it if nothing else.
