Excellent friendly care from all staff at the short stay unit. Professional and personable staff.

Not helpful at all, when someone is in so much pain that they are doubling over this hospital doesnt care and all they could say is go see your gp absolute joke, all beacuse they lost their funding funding to another hospital, that does not give the base the right to not care about the patient's.

My husband has been taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital by Ambulance from our camping area at Agnes Waters with kidney stones. Five hours later, he was still sitting on a chair in the waiting room, unattended, as apparently they had no bed open!! Yet we have a private medical fund and still the Ambulance has to drop him at this public hospital!! When he was advised that they still dont know when theyll be able to help him, he rang a cab and asked him to take him to the nearest hotel just so he could lay down in a bed!! I picked him up from there. Why do we pay for private medical and in a situation like this, it helps absolutely nothing!?? What a waste of money this was???!! This system doesnt work!!!

Sincere thank you to all the staff involved in my previous 2 surgeries and 3 emergency visits throughout the month of May 2018. First class service second to none was received. Throughout my life I have had multiple, multiple Hospital stays and I can honestly say that the service, from initial appointments, pre-op care, surgical procedures and post operative care is in my opinion world class. Would like to congratulate all staff including the ambulance paramedics, doctors, surgeons, nurses in the emergency and orthopaedics and investigative areas for their outstanding professional care and treatment. Genuinely thankful to all. Tanya

You are treated like you're diseased here. The front end with all the glass windows, you can't have a conversation without picking up a phone that's been handled by anything and everything. You're made to wipe it down before speaking to anyone. I really dislike the system they have here. I know, it isn't any of the staffs fault, but my review is for the hospital itself. It does need to be updated to the 21st century, staff could be trained with a little more bounce in their step. It's a hospital, you're meant to be happy to help others in health not look at them like they're disgusting.
