Nice bars. Nice meals. Pokie room is a bit sketchy. Only sitdown bar I've seen in a long time. Great staff. Pints available on all beers.
I have dinner at the Melbourne every month and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and customer service. But what a failure Xmas Lunch was. Food was not up to your usual standard, there was not enough variety provided and we had to wait so long for what was available to be replenished in a timely manner. I spent most of my time in the line trying to get something suitable for my Dad and Brother to eat. Could not believe that there was no roasted spuds, but chips where served and even they were slow to be replenished. It is not like you didnt know how many would be attending, and to have paid $90 ahead for what was dished up was extremely disappointing!! There was a person in the queue was suggesting the KFC would have been a better and I had to agree. Have been to the RSL for Xmas Lunch for a similar price and could not speak more highly of the spread provided, I thought we would have a change, can assure you we will not be back next Xmas.

first time I went there they didn't have their texan BBQ pork ribs so I got the children's cheeseburger and it was absolutely lovely. Their chips are amazing. Second time I went I got the ribs and they were a little bit dry in some area but the sauce was beautiful. Their service is really good and I would defiantly recommend this place if you are in Bundaberg for a while.
Dear Melbourne Hotel, I am not impressed! We just went to your facility for the Christmas 'Buffet'. Yeah, buffet. You're kidding right? The food was very underwhelming. Literally all the food was dry and just did not have any quality whatsoever. And I was not the only one who thought that. My parents and most of the other poor people who were there. I was going to give house no stars but your dessert was good I guess. I did enjoy your Cherry Ripe Cheesecake. Not gonna lie but you guys still did poor and you should be ashamed of yourselves. The service, the food. We will never be going there again!
