I had a wonderful experience. Chris was fantastic to deal with. I emailed her some photo ideas and she gave me a quote. The final cake met expectations and beyond. I am sincerely happy with the service I received. I also tried a coffee when I was in the shop collecting the cake and it was lovely.
My son purchased me a birthday cake in February from this store it looked lovely but when we cut a slice it was stale inside and had mould around the inner edges. Because this was a new business I thought I would give it another chance and support local business so I took my Mum there for coffee and cake. The staff were very pleasant and professional and the service was great but the piece of cheesecake we had with our coffee was so old it tasted bad and looked leathery. I went to the store two more times for coffee and cake with friends thinking that maybe my prior bad experience was just a one time thing but unfortunately that was not the case. The coffee was good because the staff cared about what they were doing but the cake was stale. I purchase a three tier cake slice for myself and a friend and it was so stale it was difficult to get my fork through the cake. So we left it on the plate uneaten. Before we left we witness the owner of the business berating the young man that worked for her for about 20 mins to the point of reducing him to tears. He did absolutely nothing wrong that we could see. You could see he was visible shaken. She had thought that there were no customers in the store but we were still sitting toward the very front of the store. After she went back into the kitchen we approached the young staff member and asked him if he was alright and he said he was fine but he didn't look fine. I spoke to him about our experience with the stale cake and I asked him how old were the cakes that were in the front of the shop that were for sale in the cake fridge. He was reluctant to give an answer. So I said these cakes for sale were they baked and put here in the last 7days days and he replied No. And I asked were these cakes put here in the last 14 days and he reply No. So I didn't press him anymore as I had my answer so I don't go to Koodos anymore and I would advise anyone not to buy anything from this store as it is an inferior product and possible very stale and old. I liken the store to the place that Hansel and Gretel found in the forest it had all lovely things all over it and then they went inside and everything was rotten and there was a Witch in the kitchen.
Beautifully presented & a gorgeous selection of cakes and deliciousness for every occasion. Have never been let down.
Wonderful cafe and beautiful custom cakes, really admire the diverse range of desserts! Loving the homemade atmosphere to everything!
Went to pick up my cake after paying the quoted price on the day i ordered and was told there would be an additional charge. After explaining that i had already paid in full the owner came out and rudely told me that the person quoteing me should have told me they were unsure of the price........ after about 5 minutes of listening to her complain i was allowed to leave with my cake. Customer service from this lady was very poor.
